中国画——这个有着数千年历史文脉承传的绘画门类,在古代中国——无论是宫廷还是民间都是最为主流的绘画样式,经过半个世纪的发展,如今已经呈现出高度繁荣的宏大局面。事实上,某种艺术门类在某个历史时期的高度繁荣,在中西方美术发展史上都是曾经多次发生过的,如商周之青铜艺术、魏晋之佛教造像、宋元之山水意境、中世纪之哥特式建筑、文艺复兴之油画等等,每一次所达到的艺术高度和辉煌成就,都是一个国家或民族整体智慧
