2009年12月3日,民政部在江苏省南京市召开“全国社会救助规范管理工作会议”。会议总结了过去一年来全国社会救助工作的主要成绩,交流了工作经验,分析了面临的形势,明确了当前和今后一个时期社会救助工作的基本思路,安排部署了社会救助规范管理的各项重点工作和支撑保障措施。民政部副部长罗平飞出席会议并讲话。江苏省副省长李小敏、南京市副市长陈维健出席会议开幕式并致辞。民政部社会救助司司长米勇生主持会议并作总结讲话。江苏省民政厅、南京市民政局等23家单位在会上做了典型经验介绍。与会代表观看了南京市社会救助规范管理电视片,并实地考察了南京市下关区宝塔桥街道、建邺区南苑街道、鼓楼区江东街道的社会救助工作。国务院办公厅、国务院研究室、国家发展和改革委、财政部、人力资源和社会保障部、卫生部等部门的有关同志,各省、自治区、直辖市民政厅(局)、计划单列市民政局、新疆生产建设兵团民政局、各省会城市民政局社会救助工作负责人,江苏省地级市民政局社会救助工作负责人参加了会议。我国社会救助工作已跨入质的提升新阶段,本次会议的召开对今后一段时期的救助工作具有导向性的意义。
