OBJECTIVE: To compare the effect of reduced field of view (r-FOV DWI) and normal field of view (c-FOV DWI) voxels in normal pancreata tissue with low- Differences in parameters and image quality in the IVIM model. Methods Fifty-nine volunteers who did not find pancreatic abnormalities by ultrasound and clinical data underwent routine pancreatic plain scan. The same multi-b value of r-FOVDWI and c-FOVDWI (b = 0,25,50,75,100,150,200,300,400,600,800 s / mm2) The scanned images were sent to GE ADW4.6 workstation and the corresponding ADC tot, D, D * and f values were measured at the head of the pancreas. Blinded images were taken by two abdominal imaging diagnosticians using the 4-point method for r-FOV DWI and c-FOV DWI image quality score. Data were analyzed statistically using SPSS 19.0 software. Results ADCtot (10-3mm2 / s), D (10-3mm2 / s), D * (10-3mm2 / s) and f values were 1.58 ± 0.22 for small b-value dual-exponential model , 1.24 ± 0.22,99.61 ± 56.25,0.24 ± 0.06; 1.64 ± 0.24,1.17 ± 0.26,54.34 ± 49.67,0.24 ± 0.07 respectively. There was no significant difference between the two groups (P> 0.05) (P = 0.000). The 4-point score of r-FOV DWI image quality was significantly higher than that of c-FOV DWI, the difference was statistically significant (P = 0.000) P = 0.000). Two diagnosticians had good agreement with the image quality (Kappa = 0.668). Conclusion Compared with c-FOV DWI, r-FOV DWI can improve the resolution and image quality of DWI images in pancreatic while ensuring the relative stability of parameters.
