我国对甜菜机具研制工作较晚,六十年代初期才对甜菜的播种、收获等机械进行引进和研制工作.甜菜收获至今绝大部分仍用人力挖掘后手工切削茎叶,此时正值其它作物收获季节,农时紧、劳动量大,而人工起收、切削效率低,劳动强度大,故机械化收获一直是甜菜生产机械化研究工作的重点.但多年来由于机械化收获工艺(如一刀平削)与我国目前实行的甜菜收购标准中所规定的多刀切削工艺不符,以致出现含土含杂较多等问题,在收购上长期得不到解决,严重影响了甜菜收获机械研制工作的开展和成果的推广.至今大多数样机仅能在试验点上进行小面
