人民领袖毛泽东对于身外之物非常淡薄,惟独一生喜爱文房四宝、古籍、书画、印章。青石砚毛泽东爱用毛笔,终身以砚为伴。他所用的第一方砚台,长19厘米,宽12.5厘米。那是他读私塾时所用。此砚为韶山青石所制,现藏韶山毛泽东纪念馆。毛泽东的一方青石雕花砚为建国之始,大画家齐白石所赠。砚长26厘米,大头15厘米,小头14厘米,厚2厘米,配有楠木砚盒。此砚有齐白石亲手砚铭:“片老真空石也,是吾子孙不得与人,乙酉八十九岁,齐白石记于京华铁栅屋。”
