(附图版一,及英文摘要)双峯县位于湖南省中部,旧属湘乡县,解放后始改现名。距县城永丰镇北约七公里许,测水两岸,测水煤系极为发育,其层序早经田奇、王晓青两先生详细划分[4]。而测水煤系中所合之植物化石亦经斯行健教授详为研究,著有“湖南测水煤系下石炭纪植物化石”[6]论文一篇。据斯行健教授研究,其化石有:
