当前我国大中型水库渔业状况多为粗放形式,即年初投放4寸左右规格的鲢、鳙鱼种,不投饵、不施肥,以加强除野防逃和渔政管理为主要措施,当年或次年冬季起水,捕大留小。这种生产方式的鱼产量在一定范围内与鱼种投库量呈正相关。因此,鱼种是水库高产稳产的重要制约因素,培育并投库量足质优的鱼种,便成为水库渔业发展的关键。
