一年一度的瑞士巴塞尔世界钟表珠宝展览会于1996年4月18～25日在瑞士边境城市巴塞尔市隆重举行,来自35个国家和地区的3500多家参展厂商参加了这次展览。经过多年的努力,中国钟表协会和中国珠宝首饰进出口公司首次参加这届巴塞尔钟表珠宝展,五星红旗在展览馆门前首次飘扬,分外鲜艳夺目。这标志着我国钟表工业已正式挤进世界钟表之林,在世界最高层次的钟表展中占有一席之地,宣传我国改革开放以来钟表工业所取得的成果,让世界了解我们,重视我们,对我钟表制造业有个初步的印象,这对促进我国钟表进一步走向世界具有十分重要的意义。
The annual Basel World Watch & Jewellery Fair in Switzerland was held in Basel, Switzerland, from April 18th to 25th, 1996. More than 3,500 exhibitors from 35 countries and regions attended the exhibition. After years of hard work, the China Watch & Clock Association and China Jewelry Import & Export Corporation participated in the Basel Watch & Jewellery Exhibition for the first time. The five-star red flag flew for the first time in front of the exhibition hall and was exceptionally colorful. This indicates that China’s watch industry has officially entered the world of watches and clocks, has a place in the world’s highest level watch exhibition, and promotes the achievements of the watch industry since China’s reform and opening up, letting the world understand us, value us, and manufacture watches for us. The industry has a preliminary impression, which is of great significance to promoting the further development of China’s clocks and watches into the world.
