By holding festivals with the characteristics of urban culture, not only can image and profound display of urban culture be promoted, but also understanding and exchange of different cultures can be promoted. More importantly, a city image can be established to provide a powerful impetus to the sustainable development of urban economy. Based on the analysis of the urban cultural characteristics of Tianjin and the impact of festivals on urban development, this paper puts forward the specific countermeasures for developing festivals with unique characteristics in Tianjin.
