由于此罐在国内有较大的争论,从而引发对景德镇元代早期青花瓷的研究与探讨。这件青花牡丹兽头罐高22.5厘米、口径8.5厘米、足径9厘米,1999年4月出土于江西省铜鼓县。该罐缺塔式盖,胎釉呈青灰色,干透无气泡,薄釉晶莹剔透,釉面开出无规则浅丝密麻裂纹。这件青花牡丹兽头罐上腹外鼓至下收敛,器型风格精美,纹饰简洁流畅,文化内涵深厚,具有避邪、富贵、保平安之意,为镇宅之宝物。(附青花罐检测报告)景德镇窑元代延祐期,由民间定向烧制了少量青花瓷,因器物存世稀少,根据国内博物馆藏品展示,据不完全统计这类青花牡丹塔式罐仅存2件,故而少有
