阿契贝将写作视作自我界定。为了纠正欧洲文本中被扭曲了的作为客体的非洲形象,阿契贝自觉承担了非洲历史学家的使命。他的创作通过对过去的回忆直面非洲的焦虑,找回非洲的自我属性。回顾历史,是为了更好地理解现实,在对现实的关照中,阿契贝的视野是广阔的,笔调是冷峻犀利的。虽然其文本往往并没有提供社会问题的最终答案,但问题的敞开已足以使阿契贝的创作超越文学自身,具有了巨大的现实意义。
Ahchebee treats writing as self-defining. In order to correct the distorted image of Africa in the European text as an object, Ahchebe consciously assumed the mission of an African historian. His creation recovers the self-attribute of Africa by confronting Africa’s anxiety over past memories. Reviewing history is to better understand the reality. In the consideration of reality, Akchi’s vision is vast and its style is stern and sharp. Although its text often does not provide the ultimate answer to the social problems, the openness of the question is enough to make Achebe’s work surpass the literature itself and has great practical significance.
