调查发现,自跨入新世纪之后,我国大多数高职高专,乃至部分本科院校,都在纷纷开设或筹划开设应用英语专业,应用英语专业在悄然兴起,并业已成为继商务英语专业之后的又一热门专业。可是应用英语能否像商务英语一样发展成为独立的学科这一问题到目前为止尚无定论,甚至于连应用英语一词的定义都是一片空白。可是任何一门专业的发展,都离不开学科理论的支撑,因此应用英语学科理论的研究迫在眉睫。
The survey found that since the beginning of the new century, most higher vocational colleges in China, and even some undergraduate colleges and universities, have set up or plan to open applied English major. The application of English major is quietly emerging and has become the second major of Business English Another hot professional. However, the question of whether English can develop into an independent discipline like Business English has so far been inconclusive, and even the definition of the term English is a blank. However, any one professional development, are inseparable from the academic support of the theory, so the application of the theory of English studies is imminent.
