Studying the residents’ medical service requirements, analyzing the degree of satisfaction of the medical service needs of the population and the influencing factors, and discussing the reasons why the medical services cannot be met are common means for rationally organizing the health industry and improving the social benefits of the health service. According to a sample survey of family health services in the Wanhang section of Jing’an District, Shanghai from September 1988 to June 1989, we conducted a study on this issue. The survey was conducted on 7 resident residents of the Liberal City, 7 760 permanent residents in the Wanhang section of Jing’an District.
