近年来平板显示(FPD)技术发展很快。不同的FPD有不同的工作原理和技术特点,所以应用的场合也有区别。究竟FPD对世界显示器件的市场会有多大影响,特别是对传统的CRT市场能否构成重大冲击?这是需要作出客观评价的。在发展FPD时也应当对其应用、市场需求、技术动态及对供应商的需求等制订出指导性方针。本文全面讨论上述问题,期望能对显示器件研制、生产、经销部门及政府决策部门有所助益。本文主要参考了Josph A、Castellan。(President and CEO of Stanford Resources Inc.)及Norman Bardsley (director of roadmaps and standards at USDC)两位作者在Solid state Technology 98年第一期上发表的两篇文章。
In recent years, flat panel display (FPD) technology has developed rapidly. Different FPD has different working principles and technical characteristics, so there are differences between occasions. After all, how much influence does FPD have on the world market of display devices, and especially whether the traditional CRT market can have a major impact? This requires an objective evaluation. In the development of FPD should also be its application, market demand, technological developments and demand for suppliers to develop guidelines. This article discusses the above issues in a comprehensive manner and looks forward to contributing to the development, production, distribution and government decision-making of display devices. This article mainly refers to Josph A, Castellan. President and CEO of Stanford Resources Inc. and Norman Bardsley (director of roadmaps and standards at USDC), two articles in the first issue of Solid State Technology 98.
