The experimental building is located on a pentagonal floor on the west side of the hospital’s burn and wound orthopedic ward building, with a large green area on the north side of the hospital and a triangular green area on the south side. The experimental building has a total of 4 floors and a building area of 1733 square meters. The 1st and 2nd floors belong to the Ruijin Hospital Burn Research Center, and the 3rd and 4th floors belong to the Shanghai Institute of Orthopaedics and Hypertension. In the laboratory building, there is a skin bank, a cold room, a greenhouse (often kept at 35°C), a precision instrument room, an isotope room, a shield room, microbiology, biochemistry, and a burn department.
