Chinese Academy of Social Sciences experts recently measured in accordance with internationally accepted methods of calculation. At present, China’s modernization level ranks the 66th among all the people in the world and is lower than the middle class. In the past 20 years, China’s modernization index has averaged an annual increase of 16%. According to this speed forecast, it will take another 3 years to step into the threshold of modernization.
