非英语专业大学生普遍存在作文可理解度低这一问题。研究其成因并探索实用有效的解决方法,能够提高学生的英语作文水平、进而提高整体英语水平。本文采取实证性研究方法,安排大学新生参加英语写作考试和与之相对应的汉语作文写作考试,从篇章、句子和词汇层面对比分析中英文作文试卷。研究发现英语作文水平低主因在于学生不了解中英文思维差异,并因此不能够充分理解和把握英语句子结构和词汇结构。
The non-English majors universally exist in composition can understand the problem of low. To study its causes and explore practical and effective solutions to improve students’ English writing, thereby enhancing the overall level of English. This paper takes an empirical research method to arrange college freshmen to take the English writing test and its corresponding Chinese writing test, and to compare the Chinese and English essay test papers from the perspective of the text, sentence and vocabulary. The main reason that the study found that the level of English composition is low is that students do not understand the difference between Chinese and English thinking, and therefore can not fully understand and grasp English sentence structure and vocabulary structure.
