“北鲁南湘”抢占农村信息化建设制高点

培养新型农民,发展现代农业,建设社会主义新农村,实现城乡统筹,离不开信息化的支撑。有数据显示,目前我国农村互联网和信息服务发展迅速,全国98%的乡镇能上网、95%的乡镇通宽带,27个省份已经实现乡乡能上网。截至2008年底,农村网民规模达到8460万人,年增长率超过60%。农村的发展速度超过了城市这还是第一次。

To cultivate a new type of farmer, develop modern agriculture, build a new socialist countryside, and achieve urban and rural co-ordination, we can not do without the support of informationization. Statistics show that at present, China’s rural areas have witnessed rapid development of Internet and information services. 98% of the towns and villages in the country have access to the Internet, 95% of villages and towns have access to broadband and 27 provinces have access to the countryside. By the end of 2008, the number of rural Internet users reached 84.6 million, an annual growth rate of over 60%. This is the first time that rural development has outpaced that of cities.
