素质教育的目的是把学生培养成“理性与非理性协调发展”“、人格完整”的人。语文学科作为一门融人文性与工具性于一体的基础教育科目,责无旁贷地负有人格教育的任务。但在应试教育体制下,语文教育不仅无法对学生进行合理有效的人格教育,而且在相当程度上对现代中学生人格危机的产生起了推波助澜的作用,而同时也对语文教育自身的健康发展造成了严重的损害。人格教育要从了解学生心理发展的规律入手,在语文教育中树立以人为本的人文思想,尊重学生的个体差异,培养学生语文学习的主体意识,使学生形成独立的、而非依附的人格;并且将人格教育贯穿于整个语文教育的过程中,以塑造学生完整、健全的人格。人格教育与语文学科教育是互为依存、互相促进的关系,我们一方面要通过人格教育的渗透养成学生良好的人格倾向性,以提高学生语文学习的能力,提高语文教学的质量;另一方面又应用符合学生心理发展需求的语文学科教育积极地影响学生人格的健康发展。

On the other hand, the application of language education in line with the needs of students ’psychological development positively affects the healthy development of students’ personality.
