In the early 1970s, Su Xiu relied on investments from Western capitalist countries and set about building a Kama car factory to produce 8-tonne and 12-tonne “Camas” medium duty trucks. It is planned to be completed in 1975 with an estimated output of 50000 in 1977 and 150,000 in 1978. However, since the Soviet revisionist social-imperialists were in a state of internal and external difficulties, the factory’s construction progress was as slow as that of its entire national economic plan and its plan was delayed and failed to be completed on time. According to Chairman Mao’s “foreign-oriented” teaching, we published an automated line for the comprehensive processing of diesel engine blocks provided by a U.S. company in this factory for reference.
