九月二十九日下午三时五十五分,一架波音七四七客机平稳地降落在北京首都国际机场的停机坪上。一位浓眉大眼、身材魁梧的年轻人首先走下飞机,与等候在那里的北京市公安局的官员们热情地握手拥抱。他就是美国纽约市警察总局副局长、美籍华人莫虎先生。他是应北京市公安局的邀请,与母亲许瑾、夫人陈美玉和女儿莫丽一起前来中国大陆,进行为期三周的参观访问的。
At 3.55 pm on September 29, a Boeing 747 aircraft landed smoothly on the apron at the Beijing Capital International Airport. A thick-eyed, tall, burly young man first got off the plane and hugged warmly with the officers of the Beijing Public Security Bureau waiting to be there. He is the deputy director of the New York City Police Headquarters, American Chinese Mr. Mo Hu. At the invitation of the Beijing Public Security Bureau, he came to mainland China with his mother Xu Jin, his wife Chen Meiyu and daughter Molly for a three-week visit.
