2001年底及2002年初,祖国大陆与台湾先后加入世界贸易组织(WTO)。入世以来大陆切实履行承诺,积极扩大改革开放,大力推动两岸经济合作框架协议(ECFA)的商签和实施。在世界经济全球化及区域经济一体化的浪潮推动下,经过两岸同胞共同努力,两岸经贸合作取得显著成就。
By the end of 2001 and early 2002, the motherland and Taiwan successively joined the World Trade Organization (WTO). Since China’s accession to the WTO, the mainland has earnestly implemented its commitments, actively expanded its reform and opening up, and vigorously promoted the signing and implementation of the Framework Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait (ECFA). Driven by the globalization of the world economy and the wave of regional economic integration, with the concerted efforts of compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Strait, remarkable achievements have been made in the cross-Strait economic and trade cooperation.
