全國文字改革会議於今年十月十五日至二十三日間在首都举行。这次会議通过了漢字簡化方案修正草案;確定了推廣以北京語音为标準音的普通話——漢民族共同語的方針、步驟;並对根本改革漢字的準备工作交換了意見。在我們國家裏,每年有上千万的兒童進入小学,訓練說普通話应該从他們開始。同時,我們应該認識,从小学到中学到大学,成百万的敎師是普通話最直接的敎学者和宣傳者。因此每一位敎師,对这件事都負有重大責任,应該共同努力加以推廣。
The National Text Reform Conference was held in the capital from October 15 to 23 this year. The meeting adopted a draft amendment to simplified Chinese characters. The guidelines and steps for promoting Putonghua - Han nationality common to Beijing phonetic pronunciation were identified. Exchanges of views were also made on the preparations for the fundamental reform of Chinese characters. In our country, tens of millions of children go to primary schools every year, training Mandarin should start from them. At the same time, we should recognize that from primary school to secondary school to college, millions of teachers are the most direct scholars and advocates in Putonghua. Therefore, every teacher has a great responsibility for this matter and should make joint efforts to promote it.
