当了几年编辑,也写了几年新闻评论。每观前辈新闻评论家的佳作,无不体现着鲜明的个性;反顾我们自己写的东西,连词汇、句法、结构都是标准件。报刊评论的观点和立意目前还难以个性化,但文笔的个性化总是允许的吧?后者的不行,只能怪评论员的无能。而学写杂文,实在是练性格文笔的最好办法。杂文是八股的死对头,杂文的“杂”从来是包含表现手法多样化的。我自己的体会,学写杂文就是学习用自己的语言写文章,而全不要管无论怎样时髦的拿腔拿调的东西。“唯套话之务去”,才是杂文的生机。写过一段杂文,再提笔写新闻评论,我个人的感觉是手中的笔轻灵得多了。《人民日报》第三版近几年每有以“叶伴”署名的短评,大多数出自敝人手笔。那是在当天晚上对当天的新闻作当天的评论。如果说其
