很多看过《爱情命运号》的观众,多半是抱着重看《爱情白皮书》中“成美”的心态。石田光在《爱情白皮书》中饰演的“成美”实在太可爱,实在令人难以忘怀。因为主角替换的缘故,使石田光成为《爱情命运号》的女主角,该片也成为继张国荣与常盘贵子后,又一中日合作的影片。石田光与天王刘德华合作得相当愉快,不过若让石田光在四大天王中选一位“最合自己眼缘的天王”,石田光则没有特别选择刘天王,只是表示“都好样啊。”虽然石田光是初次来港拍戏,但石田光对香港的艺人已早有了解,最喜欢的是王菲,特别欣赏王菲演出的《重庆森林》
