The “May Fourth” literary revolution promoted and realized the transformation of Chinese literature from classicality to modernity, thus opening the way for Chinese literature to gain modernity. The modernity of new literature is reflected in the modernity of the concept of literature, the modernity of literary thought and the modernity of performance techniques.
