中国电影一方面要继承传统文化,另一方面要进行传统文化的现代诠释。要在电影作品中对传统文化进行批判继承、创造转化;要面向世界,积极吸取国际先进经验和技巧,将中国文化与世界文化有效沟通起来。尤其是面对当前西方文化的强势包围,中华传统文化如何实现自身的现代化,如何与现代的电影手段相结合,已成为华人电影界共同面临的课题。——全国人大常委会副委员长、民进中央主席严隽琪
Chinese film, on the one hand, must inherit traditional culture and, on the other, modern interpretation of traditional culture. We should criticize and inherit traditional culture in film works and create transformation. We must face the world and actively draw on advanced international experience and techniques to effectively communicate Chinese culture with world culture.
