In order to understand the pathogens spectrum of pathogens and pathogenesis of children’s infection and ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), the data of all kinds of specimens and 24 cases of children with mechanical ventilation were analyzed in our hospital in 2000 . Results The ratio of gram-negative bacilli in the whole hospital was 45.5%, that of Gram-negative bacilli was 53%, and the distribution of infection bacteria in PICU was significantly increased
