In the 1980s, it was the high school Chinese language teaching that was facing a period of profound changes. The reform of composition teaching bears the brunt. Here, we provide readers with a window to observe this reform. This window is the competition for the evaluation of outstanding young teachers in Eastern and Central South China organized by the Editorial Department of Language Learning in August this year and the composition of Shanghai Middle School Students.
