1、形容词worth后常接动名词的主动式表示被动意义.如:This book is worth reading.这本书值得一读.2、在need,want,require,deserve,bear,stand等动词后常用动名词的主动式表示被动意义.如:This house needs repairing.这房子需要修一下.The boy deserves whipping.这男孩该挨鞭子了.His words won’t bear repeating.他的话不堪重复.3、不定式作定语时,若其逻辑主词是句子主词或宾词时,则可用主动式表示被动意义.

Infinitive As the attributive, if the logical subject is the main subject of the sentence or the guest word, it can be used to express the passive meaning.
