Slag tapping is a technique that prevents slag in the converter from flowing into the ladle during tapping of the converter. It has the advantages of improving the yield of the alloy, improving the quality of the steel, improving the service life of the steel tank, and adapting to the external refining treatment of the molten steel. In the recent decade, overseas converter steel mills vigorously promoted this new technology and achieved remarkable economic benefits.
