5月29日,北京的“草园”票房红火热闹,台上著名京剧演员杨春霞与杨派老生名票杨洁合演《坐宫》,不时博得阵阵掌声。杨洁的琴师,琴声刚劲有力,也赢来阵阵彩声,定睛一看,原来竟是一位弱小的女青年,有人说:“想不到一个青年女同志手里这么足,拉得这么好。”这位青年琴师是从四川成都来的,名叫吕兰。介绍吕兰的胡琴还要从她的父母酷爱京剧谈起。1952年邓小平同志、贺龙同志主持西南工作,有一天,在成都观看工人业余京剧演出的《打渔杀家》等戏。演萧恩的正是吕兰的父亲吕笔沉,萧恩本应穿抱衣抱裤,因为没服装,便借穿了一件女打衣、裤凑合演出,台下的邓贺两位领导都给逗乐了,当即拨款,为这个业余剧团制做了全套服装。在邓小平同志、贺龙同志的亲自关怀下,成都工人文化宫工人艺术团京剧队正式成立,36年以来从未间断活动,当年邓老拨款制做的服装现仍在使用。几十年演出了传统戏、现代戏50余出,连十年动乱期间也未中断排演,这在全国也是少有的。老吕同志从1952年主抓群众文化工作到去年退休,为普及振兴京剧事业做了大量的工作。
