全国高校英语专业基础阶段教学研讨会于1990年9月2日至9日在上海外国语学院召开。参加会议的有来自全国94所高校的127位代表。国家教委高教司外语处和上海外国语学院的负责人也出席了会议。会议主要围绕《高等学校英语专业基础阶段英语教学大纲》颁布二年来各校贯彻执行情况进行讨论和交流,探讨如何进一步提高基础阶段的英语教
The National College English Majors Basic Teaching Seminar was held in Shanghai International Studies University from September 2 to September 9, 1990. 127 delegates from 94 colleges and universities nationwide participated in the conference. State Education Commission Higher Education Division foreign language department and Shanghai Foreign Languages Institute also attended the meeting. The conference mainly discussed and exchanged about the implementation of each school in the past two years after the promulgation of “English Syllabus for Basic English Course for College English Majors”, and discussed how to further improve the English teaching in the basic stage
