我国华南已查明有岩溶型铀矿床群,属世界罕见.迄今国外仅在美国亚利桑那州、前苏联秋亚穆云和中非巴科马探明各有一处小型岩溶型铀矿床或铀矿点.岩溶型矿床包括岩溶矿床、与岩溶有关矿床两类,过去我国已查明的岩溶型铀矿床均为后一类型,即岩溶对成矿提供贮矿空间,或古岩溶仅使铀预富集(未达工业品位),后经热水叠造生成工业铀矿床.笔者研究373铀矿床时,首次在华南发现典型铀的古岩溶直接成矿现象,并形成典型的古岩溶铀矿床,从而从而为我国建立这一特殊的铀成矿新类型提供了确凿的依据.
