液面控制是现代连铸机生产高品质、无缺陷连铸坯的关键质量控制点,同时也是保证连铸生产稳定的重要因素之一。目前连铸结晶器液位检测的形式有放射性同位素法、涡流法、浮子法,等等。稳定结晶器液位有调节塞棒或滑板、调节拉速以及滑板或塞棒与拉速同时调节等多种方式。宝钢4号连铸机采用了先进的液面测量和控制反馈系统,该系统集成了德国西门子S7300PLC和捷克VUHZ液面检测系统,实现自动开浇、正常浇注、浸入式水口快换、浇注中断、终浇控制等功能。
