一九七四年我们按外国采用二茂基镍的方法研制成功粉敷镍阴极(又称 GPG)。它虽然具有良好的发射性能并受到了各有关兄弟厂的欢迎,但是在制作过程中对周围环境有很严重的污染,对操作工人身体也有很大的危害。这是由于采用了中间材料“二茂基镍”的缘故。这种材料除了有毒和刺激性外,成本费高达每公斤4000元,特别是由于生产此种材料时工艺不稳定、成品率低、毒害大、又需要大量的投资而生产厂又不肯承担,致使粉敷镍阴极的整个推广应用工作不得不停工待料达两年之久,直接影响了某些特殊管型的生产和产品质量的提高。
