Yuri Mamreyev’s Pensive Hitman is a mirror that shows the cruelty of life. The recovery of the perceptual power of the protagonist Piaget Watson symbolizes the rationality of life, but this rationality will be destroyed when there is a small rationality. The theme of the novel tries to show the cruelty and absurdity of life.
