多年来,天津市的民族教育工作一直走在全国前列。2009年国庆节前夕,天津市委书记张高丽、市长黄兴国等天津市领导分别到微山路中学和红光中学看望慰问少数民族学生、教师,这是对民族团结教育工作的极大鼓舞和鞭策。作为模范集体的代表,9月29日,天津市教育委员会主任靳润成应邀出席了党中央、国务院召开的第五次全国民族团结进步表彰大会,受到胡锦涛总书记等党和国家领导人的接见,并全程参加了新中国成立60周年庆典活动。下面是靳润成主任对天津市民族教育工作的阐述以及天津市教委贯彻落实《学校民族团结教育指导纲要(试行)》工作的综述。
