音乐治疗是国际上方兴未艾的交叉学科。而考克兰图书馆(The Cochrane Library)数据库汇集了关于医疗保健治疗和干预有效性的研究,是循证医学的黄金标准,提供着有关最新医疗研究的客观信息,包括了6个高质量、独立证据的子数据库。通过对该数据库中收集的循证医学领域中的音乐治疗相关研究成果进行统计,可以对当下国际音乐治疗学科的最新信息进行精准把握,提炼出在循证医学领域对音乐治疗的国际研究热点。不过,在疾病干预及介入方向的临床试验上,以及实验方案、后期技术评估和经济评价的研究方面,该数据库也有明显欠缺。我国应在一定的理论研究和借鉴的基础上,更加注重对音乐治疗的实验方案设计、临床实践及后期评估进行研究。
