对于亚洲的一些国家,水稻是最重要的粮食作物,然而其产量却遭受数百种害虫的危害.尽管目前已存在许多控制虫害的策略,但是损失依然非常严重.RNA干涉被认为在农业害虫防控领域具有良好的应用前景,但是遗传信息的匮乏严重限制了该技术的应用.水稻害虫转录组数据库是一个综合性的数据库,其数据来源于8种最重要的水稻害虫的新一代测序结果.本数据库致力于为昆虫功能基因组学研究、昆虫治理及其他领域提供一个有条理的遗传信息平台,以满足上述研究领域的需要.另外,本数据库通过进化树的构建揭示出这些昆虫的进化关系.
For some Asian countries, rice is the most important food crop yet its production is endangered by hundreds of pests and losses are still severe, despite many pest control strategies currently in existence.RNA interference is thought to be the most important food pest defense in agriculture However, the lack of genetic information has severely limited the application of this technology.The rice pest transcriptome database is a comprehensive database whose data are derived from a new generation of sequencing results of the eight most important rice pests. This database is dedicated to providing a structured genetic information platform for insect functional genomics research, insect management and other fields to meet the needs of the above research fields. In addition, the database reveals the evolutionary relationships of these insects through the construction of evolutionary trees.
