话说隋朝末年,天下大乱。太原留守李渊起兵,所向披靡,建立大唐王朝。建国的第四年,秦王李世民率军进攻盘踞在河南洛阳附近的王世充残余势力,遭到了王世充的侄子王仁则的凶猛抵抗,李世民几乎难逃死劫。危急时刻,13名僧人及时赶到,用一种最普通的武器,将王仁则的军队打得毫无还手之力,最终帮助李世民建立了不朽功勋。
