随着七号信令(SS7)网络规模的扩大以及与这些网络相关的电信工作量的增加,如何对这样的网络进行有效且可靠的管理正引起人们更多的关注。 SS7网络在几个国家曾出现过灾难性的失败,损失多达数百万美元,操作人员和维护人员常常抱怨他们的网络看起来似乎是在运行,但是却不能确定网络运行的正常程度。一种提供网络故障告警和支持检查、诊断功能以判定故障源的系统,将是实行预前管理的关键手段。
With the expansion of SS7 network size and the increase of telecommunication workload associated with these networks, it is attracting more attention on how to effectively and reliably manage such networks. The SS7 network has had catastrophic failures in several countries, losing millions of dollars. Operators and maintenance staff often complain that their networks seem to be running, but they can not determine how healthy the network is. A system that provides network failure alerts and support for inspection and diagnostic functions to determine the source of the failure will be a key enabler of advance management.
