在第三批本科里招生的高等院校(以下简称“三本院校”)主要为民办大学和独立学院。民办大学是指民营企业或个人依法开办的高等学校,独立学院是指公办本科高校与国家机构以外的社会组织或者个人合作,利用非国家财政性经费开办的本科院校。民办大学和独立学院有很多相同之处,它们都是利用民营资本办学,都属于民办高等教育,都按民办机制收费(学费普遍较高),只是前者的办学层次有本科也有专科,而后者纯属本科教育。
The tertiary institutions enrolled in the third batch of undergraduate colleges (hereinafter referred to as “the three universities”) are mainly private universities and independent colleges. They are all charged according to the private mechanism (tuition is generally high), except that the former has undergraduate and junior college education, while the latter is pure Undergraduate education.
