比“炒”得火爆的郭沫若《女神》问世更早的《诗歌集》,其书名写全,该是一长串:《叶伯和著的 诗歌集 前三期撰刊》。《诗歌集》初版于1920年5月4日,而《女神》1921年8月5日才出版,前后时差为一年零3个月。1920年是中国白话新诗的萌生期,这一年诗人单个结集的只有胡适的《尝试集》和叶伯和(1889年5月24日——1645年11月6日)的《涛歌集》;《尝试集》3月问世,《诗歌集》5月问世。胡适早已名扬凹海,而叶伯和这位与郭沫若同籍且年龄尚长三岁的卓有实绩的中国早期白话新诗创始人之一,知之者却很少很少,更不用提起重印他的著作了。
It is a long series of “Book of Poetry” earlier than Guo’s “Goddess” which came out in the hottest “speculation”. It is a long series: “The First Three Collections of Poetry by Ye Boyhe”.
