非洲槐,亦称江南槐。因其花大而色红,花繁而期长,深受人们喜爱,尤其北方栽植不多,更受北方人惜爱。若制作成老桩盆景,就更别具一番风味。但由于引进时期不长,很难得到老桩。为解决此问题,笔者用刺愧老桩作砧木,用非洲槐作接穗,迅速得到了九株非洲槐老桩盆景。具体作法:一、选桩育砧1994年春,在刺槐发芽前,笔者在野外采挖到九株具有较高价值的刺槐老桩,在修根截枝后进行地栽培育。经过细心管理,九株全部成活。由于刺槐萌发力很强,老桩发芽很多,待芽枝长至5～6cm长时,笔者根据造型和嫁接的需要,在有关部位留一两个壮芽,其余全部摘掉,经过一年的养护,所留枝芽全部长成1～2cm粗(直径)的枝条,给第二年春天嫁接育好了砧条。二、嫁接与管理1995年春天,当刺槐与非洲槐芽都
