人们根据象增强器在微光条件下对目标的探测、识别和验证能力评价其性能。限制这些能力的最重要的参数是噪声参数和成象参数。噪声参数通常用信噪比来表示,成象参数用调制传递函数和模糊眩光(Veiling glare)来描述。本文叙述美国陆军夜视实验室用来测定这些参数的方法,并报道典型的结果。
People evaluate their performance based on the ability of the image intensifier to detect, identify and verify targets in low light conditions. The most important parameters that limit these capabilities are the noise and imaging parameters. The noise parameters are usually expressed in terms of signal-to-noise ratio and the imaging parameters are described by the modulation transfer function and the Veiling glare. This article describes the methods used by the U.S. Army Night Vision Laboratory to determine these parameters and reports typical results.
