This paper describes an induction heated metal high frequency inverter operating at 1 MHz using a newly developed high frequency SIT. It is well-known that the switching loss of switching devices is theoretically expected to be very small, so the operation of three types of E-type inverters is discussed in detail. Next, a current-feedback experimental inverter was produced, which heated the metal bar at 1 MHz to a power of about 0.2 kW. It has been found that the inverter is working safely and in theory concludes that this mode is sufficiently efficient.
