利用不结球白菜亚种、普通白菜变种中的南京矮脚黄雄性不育两用系和短白梗、亮白叶、苏州青及矮抗青四个自交系,采用完全双列杂交D_1设计进行田间试验,旨在分析各杂交组合在与产量、品质和霜霉病抗性有关的28个性状方面的杂种优势和配合力。结果证明了Sprague等(1942)关于亲本选择选配的两个结论及其在白菜育种中应用的可行性,为普通白菜选择育种途径和选择选配亲本提供了理论依据。通过配合力分析,初步选出了亮白叶、矮脚黄、矮抗青三个较好的杂交亲本和矮脚黄×矮抗青,矮脚黄×亮白叶、短白梗×矮抗青及亮白叶×苏州青等四个优良杂交组合。
