沙迦市洲际旅馆沙迦市濒波斯湾,气候干燥炎热,多数时间的气温高达44℃。因此,旅馆采用中庭的形式,能自行控制环境,使它成为这块沙漠上的“绿洲”。旅馆近乎三角形,其中两边是客房楼,另一边是片大玻璃墙。旅馆的中庭就由这三者围合而成。中庭里,种植了热带植物和树木,点缀着喷泉和水池。旅馆的底层有接待台,以及餐厅,夜总会,商店,行政办公室,地球房和其他各种公共设施。旅馆的顶层有豪华套间。两边的客房楼倾斜成68°角,玻璃墙也倾斜成一定角度,以取得预计的美学效率,并使中庭有充分的日照,有利于植物生长。这给结构设计增加许多困难,最终设计是借助计算机完成的。
Sharjah Intercontinental Hotel The Sharjah City, Persian Gulf, has a dry, hot climate with temperatures of up to 44°C most of the time. Therefore, the hotel uses the form of an atrium to control the environment and make it an “oasis” in this desert. The hotel is almost triangular, with rooms on both sides and a large glass wall on the other. The hotel’s atrium is surrounded by these three. In the atrium, tropical plants and trees are planted, dotted with fountains and pools. The ground floor of the hotel has a reception desk, as well as restaurants, nightclubs, shops, administrative offices, earth rooms and various other public facilities. The top floor of the hotel has luxury suites. The room buildings on both sides are inclined at an angle of 68°, and the glass walls are also tilted at an angle to achieve the expected aesthetic efficiency and allow the atrium to have full sunlight, which is conducive to plant growth. This adds a lot of difficulties to structural design, and the final design is done by means of a computer.
