脑钠肽(BNP)的主要生理作用是调节液体平衡及血管张力,其水平能反映心室收缩和舒张功能及瓣膜病变的严重程度。应用BNP能有效鉴别急诊患者呼吸衰竭的病因。但危重症患者病情复杂,多种疾病及治疗措施都会对BNP水平产生显著影响,故其对鉴别危重症患者呼吸困难病因价值不高,同时由于心肌损伤、液体复苏以及正压通气都会影响心肌的应力,所以对重症监护室患者BNP水平的理解必须结合临床综合分析。
